 Be Aware Of Pregnancy Risk Factors
 

Risk factors of which the pregnant woman must be aware includes: Smoking, Alcohol, Caffeine, Drugs, Nutrition, Exercise, Parental care, multiple sex-partners, Chemical Exposure and many other factors.

Smoking is one of the Risk factors of which the pregnant woman must be aware. Smoking is injurious to pregnant woman as well as the baby. While smoking during the pregnancy, the amount of the oxygen which the baby receives is reduced which leads to bleeding, miscarriage and morning sickness. Inhalation of chemicals when smoking may cause health problems to the baby. Smoking may cause risk of reducing the birth weight; SIDS risk increases, stillbirth and premature birth are the possible consequences.
Drinking alcohol may lead to the syndrome of fetal alcohol which includes the symptoms of medical problems like: reduction in birth weight and behaviour abnormalities. Women should stop drinking, once they are pregnant.
There are lot of conflicts about pregnancy and caffeine. Consumption of caffeine during pregnancy is not safe because it affects the heart rates of the fetal. Caffeine increases the stretch marks. Usually, people get head ache when they quit the intake of coffee, so gradual reduction can help any person.
Herbal remedies and Drugs involve several risk factors; thereby they must be avoided if you know that you are pregnant.  No Herbal remedies and Drugs should be taken without doctor’s prescription. These substances can affect the unborn child.
Nutrition: It is necessary for the developing child to have Good nutrition particularly folic acid. It may lead to birth defect, if there is lack of the folic acid. Leafy vegetables, beans and orange juice are the sources of folic acid.
Exercise: Exercise is more helpful to the mother in order to improve her mental state and for the foetus in increasing the flow of oxygen. It is necessary to reduce the intensity of the exercise during pregnancy. Activities such as swimming, yoga and walking are the most helpful activities for the pregnant women.
Prenatal Care: It is essential to visit doctor regularly for baby’s development and there will be lot of changes in the body of the woman during pregnancy. Usually, side effects are normal in pregnant woman.
Multiple sex partners: This can increase the risk of the STD’s, which may lead to pregnancy and birth complications like: premature birth or low weight babies.
Chemical exposure is one of the risk factors of which the pregnant woman must be aware of. During pregnancy, we should reduce the exposure to the unnatural chemicals, which includes the pesticides in the food. Most of them eat only organic produce that is developed without the chemicals. Washing vegetables before consuming is the precaution or can avoid from the chemicals. It is always helpful and harmless to consume vegetable or the fruit, if we remove the outer layer because most of the pesticides rest on the outer layer.
It is better to note that the risks associated with pregnancy are unpleasant facts. So, have an optimistic approach towards them.
