Psoriasis can happen to any one and it looks different on each person. On some people it can be small bumps or large areas of patchy, raised skin. The area can also have red patches or areas of flaky skin that is easily wiped off. Psoriasis can also affect the skin under or around the nails. These will appear as small, white spots on the nail or as large yellowish-brown areas in the nail bed. This type of psoriasis can cause the nails to crack or break easily and, in some cases, cause the nails to fall off.
To remove psoriasis scars is not easy. There are many creams and lotions that are used top get rid of the scars. You cannot remove the scars by tanning yourself in sun. There are many examples of tanning being used as a source to remove psoriasis, but it has not been found successful.
Having psoriasis is an irritating and frustrating state. Many times psoriasis can heal up on its own after an outbreak or period of inflammation; it can leave discolorations of the skin. Pale or dark marks can emerge on the skin, and though, it is not true scarring, the discoloration of skin can leave a feeling of discomfiture or lack of self-confidence in people. When there is discoloration of skin, people believe that tanning will color the skin and the psoriasis scar will go away from the skin. It does not work that way and many times the scar does not improve even a little bit.
There are medicines to remove the psoriasis scars that can be had from a prescription of a dermatologist. Many of these drugs are not effective and do not work on making any improvement on the scars. There are people, who are going for laser treatments as well, but they are expensive and not many people can afford to take laser treatment for psoriasis scars. Another method is the silicone scar treatments. They are popular as they lessen and fade the appearance of scars. Psoriasis is the discolored patches of skin left behind from outbreaks and scaling. It may reduce with time, but not always.
Silicone scar treatments are an affordable, easy to obtain method of treatment. The patches can be purchased online and can be bought based on the size of your scar and the type of scar as well. The tanning of the skin is not the solution to these scars as it has been suggested by many. Tanning will burn the skin and get some color on that patch of the skin, but it won’ won’t remove the scar. The scar will still be there.
It ahs been found that a level of treatment of psoriasis is phototherapy. For this it is advised that the skin be exposed in short durations to the sun, but you have to avoid burns though. The UV rays in sunlight were identified as beneficial to the treatment of psoriasis. This has resulted in many hospitals adopting the UV treatments. Phototherapy can be used as a stand-alone treatment, but is normally combined with the other forms of treatment.
