Home Remedy for Piles Haemorrhoids


Piles may have an effect on the body both internally and externally in the anus. However, internal haemorrhoids cannot be seen or felt but results in a discharge of dark blood. External haemorrhoids on the other hand, can be seen around the outside of the anus, and caused lot of pain. It is a condition that causes pain, discomfort and other serious consequences. The most common reason for piles is increased pressure of internal or external veins around the anal canal


Causes for Piles


1. The main cause for piles is the strain and pressure put on the tissues at the anus creating difficulty in passing stools that result in bleeding and swelling with severe pain and discomfort.


2. Constipation – as it puts undue pressure on the tissues of the anus


3. Diarrhoea


4. The strain in passing the stool


5. Obesity


6. Weak body tissues


7. Low fibre content diet which makes bowel movement difficult


8. Anal intercourse damaging the tissues leading to bleeding


Symptoms for Piles


The most common symptoms are pain and bleeding of the anus and the others are listed below:


1. Intense pain in passing the stool

2. Continuous pain around the anus and lower rectum


3. Ineffectual urge for stool without passing stool


4. Rectal itching


5. Bleeding


6. Feeling of something bulging from the anus


7. Anaemia


8. Difficulty in sitting


Home Treatment for Piles


1. Mix 1 tea spoon of roasted black cumin seeds with 1 tablespoon of unroasted black cumin seeds and make a powder. Take half teaspoon of this mixture with a glass of water once a day daily. This is a common home remedy for piles.


2. Take one glass of buttermilk with 1/4 tea spoon of carom seed powder to get relief form piles.


3. Take 2-3 dried figs soaked in water on an empty stomach every morning for 2-3 weeks as it is known to provide relief from bleeding related to piles.


4. Take 1 tea spoon of fresh mint leaves juice with 1 tea spoon lemon juice and 1 tea spoon honey, 3 times a day to alleviate the problems of piles.


5. Half cup radish juice should be taken in the morning and night for a period of 1 month as a home remedy for piles.


6. Take banana milk shake by boiling 1 ripe banana in 1 cup of milk 3-4 times a day is another proven way for relief from piles.

7. Boil twenty grams of sesame seeds in 500 ml of water till it is reduced by one-third. Ground to paste with water and take it with butter for curing bleeding piles.


8. Take natural roots and salves like bayberry, myrrh, goldenseal root, and white oak to relief the pain from piles.


9. Drink one tea spoon of coriander juice (green leaves) with 1 tea spoon of sugar, three times a day as it is very effective for piles.


10. Prepare a thick paste by mixing cumin seeds powder with water and apply it to anus to reduce pain.


11. Powder dried mango seeds are good for curing bleeding piles. Take two grams of these seeds two times a day for 10 days.


12. Another natural home remedy for piles is to eat jambul fruit (jamun) with salt every morning is recommended for three months during its season. This is a permanent cure for bleeding piles and should be practised for at least 3-4 seasons.
