Restylane Acne Scars

One of the biggest problems teenage years bring is acne. Thankfully, with the teenage years the pimples also leave. But they leave behind big and deep scars behind. These acne scars can be embarrassing and affect the appearance adversely. There are many types of fillers available to fill these scars. The most popular of them is the- Restylane.

Restylane is a natural and safe dermal filler which is filled in the scars to bring the scar to the level of the rest of the skin. Its ability to combine with water makes it the most popular dermal filler. It is made up of hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the human body.

It is significantly better than other dermal fillers because it

  2. Has minimal side affects

  3. Scars are corrected 100%

  4. It is non-animal based, because of which skin allergies are unlikely

Restylane also has side effects. There will be swelling, numbness, bruising, and redness around the injected areas. Small bumps can be on the injected sites, but they disappear with time; as the restylane is absorbed by the skin. A topical anesthesia is usually used for reducing the pain. Nevertheless, all these side effects are insignificant ones.

One major side effect caused by restylane is the Granuloma. It is very rare, but can be serious. It is an inflammatory reaction which will need surgery.
